New Blog
This website was set up in 2014 to make available a study course written to explore the connection between what we believe and what we do in our ‘everyday lives’
The title ‘Faith at Work‘ was designed to have dual meaning:
- It is about a faith or belief system that works for you by giving you meaning in your life
- It is about the role of faith and belief systems in the workplace
The term workplace is used but is intended to be inclusive of those who’re retired, unemployed or otherwise not in paid or voluntary employment.
The original course was written from a Christian perspective but hopefully will be of interest to all, as it seeks to explore what makes us tick in the activities that we undertake. For instance, religious belief does have something to offer to ethics, wellbeing, lifestyle, and life-choices; but so do lots of other belief systems, philosophies and ideals
I wrote the course as part of my work with a previous employer. When they made me redundant, and then later ceased to exist themselves, due to withdrawal of funding, I bought the domain name and now own the site on a personal basis. It has lain undeveloped – until now…..
In the next few months, the site will be developed. The course will remain basically the same, but specific Lincolnshire and Lent 2014 aspects will be removed. More study material may appear. Links to related groups and discussions will be added. The first bit of development is a regular blog. Previously, posts were daily during Lent. However, they will now be regular but varying in frequency depending on what is going on in the world….. Welcome to my blog!
